"What is it?" "Alphabet soup." "Oh. A." "You don't have to eat it in order." "B!"

Like I did on Monday, I will be posting up Movie Reviews today. Namely the ones I watched on Holiday. Then I have some other things I will post about, but the movies will be first because they are more fun.

And you thought you had fears.

First on our list was Monk. I've mentioned before that I watched this at my cousin's once. Also, I went out to see friends once on Thanksgiving and it was during the showing of the very last Monk ever. So, technically, I saw the last one first. However, I didn't really get to like the show until I saw it this time. Sure, Monk can be WAY annoying, but he is so funny that I forgive him. (And on Friday the 13th my sister's parents went out to dinner and left all us girls alone, in a big house, while it was getting stormy. We said we would know how to survive the murderer in the basement because we had watched so much Monk.)

That Awkward Moment when your best friend wears a pink shirt.

Psych. I'm still not sure what I think of this show. I've only seen maybe, seven or ten, and Shane slightly bugs me (sorry if I miss spelled his name,) but I like Gus a lot and I love how it is a show about best friends. And Shane is funny, always quoting movies and such, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. So, I might end up liking the show, I will just have to see more to be sure. I doubt I will like it as much as Monk.)

The Doctor...does not like Knock Knock jokes.

The last Doctor Who with Ten (David Tennant). Um....WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 8'-(. My sister and I were expecting something else with the last show, like when Donna left. All his friends would come back and help him fight the Master and Donna would somehow get her memory back and we would see the other Ten with Rose. So, it was a bit disappointing, but so sad. Why did he have to leave?! Would ANYHOW have protested if he had stayed for like, ten more seasons?

Yes, you are seeing this right. This is David Tennant, in a fury vest. And yes, it almost looked cool.

The Decoy Bride. This is a movie with David Tennant. It didn't make it to my top favourites, but he is rather cool in it. And his funky outfit, he almost pulls it off. I can see why he was such a perfect Doctor. Also, my friends and I loved the part where he runs into the chap that loves the girl and he says, "Marry me!" And she says she can't and David Tennant says she's already married. The man then asks to who and instead of saying me, David Tennant wiggles his ring finger at him, showing off the wedding ring. We all went about copying that.

That moment you shouldn't have been laughing.

The Ghost and the Darkness. We watched this when we were worn out, sleepy, and on lots of sugar. This isn't a funny movie, but somehow we managed to laugh...THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. In the words of Rory, "Yeah."

All I could think was, "Frodo looks cool in Thornton clothing!" (And yes, I know this dude was not Elijah Wood, but man these two look so much alike they could be twins! Don't believe me, look them up.)

The Woman in Black. I've wanted to see this since seeing the first preview. I've no idea why, I don't like movies like this, but it interested me. Was it creepy? No idea. Everyone kept talking through it. But I think I like it so I will be renting it again sometime and watching it alone. Am I brave or what?

AWKWARD...outfits., yeah, I needn't say more. My sister sat through all the behind the scenes stuff with me. SO COOL!

WHAT DOES SHE SEE IN HIM?! Clearly she never met anyone like Thornton. Even Mr. Darcy would be better.

Wives and Daughters. I'm sorry to my sister, my friends, and everyone else who loved this movie. We watched it the day I and Anna were sunburned and miserable. (I got my first ever sunburn on my back and shoulders and was in a LOT of pain. Then my shoulders blistered.) Anyhow, so we did nothing but rested and watched movies. And, I'm very sorry, but I can't stand this movie. I wanted to hurl something at Rodger's head. And the ending, such a sad proposal. (After it my sister and I had to re-watch Thornton's proposal.) I liked Molly though.

"I'm a poet...and YOU did not know it!"

The Scarlet Pimpernel. Okay...I LOVED this movie. Anna, Molly, and I watched it because no one else wanted to, and Sir Percy cracked me up. This is a movie I plan on buying.

Since I can't find this in just writing.
The Court Jester. I saw this once years ago so they all watched it with me again. Loved it!
"They made a rubber brick but someone pointed out that if that was thrown at her head her head would come off. So that had to be reduced to the size of a sort of rubber stone. Obviously, since you can't throw stones at people."
North and South, behind the scenes. Okay, the dude who played Thornton is cool. And he likes the same scenes my sister and I love. Also, he was awkward during his interview, and funny. Everyone should watch this.
P.S. I forgot to add this song to Music Monday. My darling sister played it for me while I was moaning in misery over my sunburn. Isn't she so nice? 8-P
Now, movies aside. I will be doing longer reviews of some of these later. Namely The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Decoy Bride, and probably Monk. But, to other things. I've gotten to the point in the CYBERSPACE book where I need new characters. I know on the page I have the crew listed all ready but I've decided to scrap it. So, here is what is going to happen.
The only characters on the page who WILL be in the book are as follows.
 James T. Kirk Smythe.
Rory. (Because Rory has already butted in and there is no getting rid of him now.)
But, aside from that, there is no crew. And this is where I need you, if you wish to join in this dangerous endeavor. Here is a LIST of the crew members who will be needed. So, here is what you can do if you like. Go to the list, pick which position you would like and which nationality you would like to be. You can then send me the name you would like to use and your personality. (Or you can wait and join the pirate crew 8-D) Or join both...ANYHOW. You can email me all this information or do it in a comment, whichever you like best. I hope you will find this fun 8-D
Have you seen any of the movies I listed? What did you think of them? Did you cry when the Tenth Doctor died? Will you be joining Jim's crew on their dangerous mission into CyberSpace?  AND DON'T FORGET TO VOTE 8-D At the moment everyone wants Steed to punch Peter. He feels so loved 8-D
These will be from Chapter Nine.
 1. Darcy and Peter walking through the woods and Darcy letting tree branches slap him in the face.
 2. Isidore sleeping in a closet.
 3. Steed punching Peter.  This quote is from Monk. In one episode he gets sick so his helper is trying to take care of him, and he is slowly driving her insane.  ALLONS-Y!

  1. I've seen Psych, Monk and North and South! Shawn cracks me up sometimes, and Gus is well Gus for you:)

Monk was kinda depressing after a while so we stopped watching it, but I do like weird mystery shows. I sorta watch Crossing Jordan, it's a detective show with dead bodies and strange people who work in the morgue with Jordan.

Glad you had fun on your holiday:)

  2. You watched some good movies. Been years since I watched The Ghost and the Darkness. And keep watching Psych. Shawn will grow on you. (One of my favorite shows! Dig all the pop culture references.)

  3. My sister and I watch Monk whenever we manage to catch it on TV. We both love it, expecially since so many people in our family have Monk-like qwirks.

I've never been able to find Dr. Who, but I really want to watch it sometime.

  4. You didn't like Wives and Daughters?! Ah, epic fail! Oh, well... actually, my sisters and I all loved the end when Molly walked onto the screen and traipsed through Africa in pants! Ha, ha! You wouldn't see that outfit on any other lady during that time! ;)

But, ah! You're forgiven! Scarlet Pimpernel, North and South (awe.some.), and Court Jester! Those are all really good movies.

  5. Monk: Love it but can only watch a few at a time or I start getting Monk-isms.

PSYCH! Wait for iiiiiiiiiiiiiit.... I love Psych. I'm collecting all the seasons. You should keep watching... Shawn starts to grow up a lot by the fourth one. :) (And "Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark" was SO AWESOME!

I have not watched Doctor Who or the Decoy Bride. I really, really want to though.

    TININ!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

I wasn't overly fond of Wives and Daughters either. The romance didn't do it for me. (North and South and Little Dorrit are way better.)

    The Scarlet Pimpernel is AWESOME!

And the Court Jester is crazy funny. (I can quote the Pellet with the Poison all the way through. :-P)

    God bless

  6. Steed punching Peter! PLEEEEEASE!!!

I loved all of these movies - except the Scarlet Pimpernel.

And Sunburn is a great song and you were asking for it. :-P

  7. Poor Peter. How does he feel when we're all voting for him to be punched??

I haven't seen any of these movies (no, wait, I've seen Tintin). But I've heard such a lot about Dr. Who since joining the blogging world. Very curious now. Everyone seems to be watching it. (Maybe should check it out?)
