"May all your bacon burn."

I must confess, I did very little today. For some reason I was feeling incurably lazy - though I did write so I should get points for that. However, after that I tried my best to get some other work done, gave up the effort as pointless, and sprawled out on my bed to enjoy an exceptionally large book - and then I watched a movie, all the way through. For two hours. So, while I did very little in the way of writing and marketing today...well, I feel as if I did nothing but it was nice to enjoy a fat book. (And since I knit and read at the same time, I almost finished knitting a fingerless glove.)

And there is no point to any of that whatsoever. But since I didn't do any writing work I have nothing to talk about in that area, so this is what you get.
Unless you want to hear about how I went to the library and found the second Guardian book! (Ahem, I might have did a little dance and clenched it in a death grip in case someone was about wanting to nab it from me.) I also got the third book in the Howl's Castle series. Even though he's not in it much, it sounds like a fun book.

(I also might have spent a lot of time on pintrest today. But we shan't bring that up.)

I suppose this might be a good time to hint at a project I am working on editing. (I am always writing something new, which right now is The Broken Blade, but I have a ton of stories I've already written and need to edit.) And now, with all your wonderful input I asked for the other day, I now know which will be next on my editing list.

But, of course, I won't be telling  you about it yet. Because, you know, evil and all that. I will say this, it is one of the three stories you all voted on.

And really, that is the extent of all I have to say. So I'm going to leave and let you ponder about the book. (Also, don't forget. Friday I will be introducing one of the characters from The Broken Blade. If you look at the voting box I'm sure you can guess which one.)

Quote is from the movie of Howl's Moving Castle. And I might have used it once already but it is brilliant enough to use twice.

  1. What movie did you watch? If it's two hours long it must be a really good one. :P

I like lazy days; having no obligations can be ever so nice. Bonus points if you do accomplish something anyway, which you did, so yeah, ten points to Gryffindor.

I didn't know you can knit! What a great talent! I tried my hand at it once and nearly killed myself. (accidentally). I love fingerless gloves.

  2. Sometimes the days that we do the least are days in which we get re-energized :)

  3. Lazy days.. they are good for us. :)

  4. Wait wait wait, stop right there. You knit and read at the same time? I can knit and listen to music, or knit and watch a movie, or knit and do many other things, but one thing I've always wanted to be able to do is knit and read at the same time! How do you keep the book open? And I suppose it's straight knitting or purling, with no pattern?

  5. It's good to have some of those slow moments! (Especially when you deserve them, and, seriously, you do!) But how do you knit and read at the same time?!! Talk about Talent! Good luck with all the upcoming editing! (I still find editing really, really tough.) :P

  6. There is more to life than writing! Glad you enjoyed some of it.

  8. Knitting and reading at the same time. I'm impressed. I have never had the patience to learn to knit, so when someone produces something they knitted I'm always like, "MAGIC!" :D And fingerless are so fun. *Nods*

Sometime those lazy days are just the thing to get all the creative juices filled back up. And sometimes they just help to us to get through some of the more tedious parts of life. Hurry for lazy days!

Pintrest. Never has there been a more time-steeling device. But it's a fantastic way to have your time stolen. Pinterest is my friend.

  9. Calcifer is my favorite. =) I almost squealed when I saw the title of this blog post.
Have you read the other books in Howl's 'series'? I started House of Many Ways yesterday and finished it today. I loved Waif. How does the author do it? Sooo many great wonderful characters AND so many plot twists! She kept putting surprising things in there! Everything was so much more important than it seemed at first.

Beeblebrox kidnapping himself is even funnier in the Hitchhiker's book (although I like the movie better, myself). You might like this fanfiction: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6559424/1/Mycrofts_Secret
It's my absolute favorite that I've ever read.

I think Moriarty kidnapped Irene and is holding her hostage.
I too thought Joan and E-Lock would get together.. But now I'm not so sure.
Moriarty is basically the evil version of Sherlock Holmes, which makes me kind of scared... Is E-Lock turning into Moriarty? Probably not. But still interesting to consider.
Joan getting back into the medical field is an intruiging thought! I bet that's what will happen.

Someday, when my to-read pile isn't so large, the Enola Holmes books will find their way into my home. xD

    Have a good night!
