"Did he just throw a loafer at me?"

Wherein Jack does tags and other things.

John and I have decided Kitty is Darcy. Just like Darcy in Haphazardly Implausible, Kitty can be blame for almost everything that goes wrong in my bedroom. Something falling over, my blankets all ending up on the floor in the morning, Aliens landing, it is all Kitty's fault.
John has also decided that, if Kitty is Darcy then I am Peter - since Kitty annoys me more then anyone else - and he is Kirk, since he has a kilt. I don't argue with John's reasoning.

I have two tags. I will be doing both now, since April is coming fast and I will be doing the A to Z Challenge then.

The first tag is from Essie. You can find her blog HERE!

This tag is the work in progress one and all one needs to do is answer the following questions.

 1. What is the working title of your book?
Abolished Impracticality, the second book in my Haphazardly Implausible series.

 2. Where did the idea come from for the book?
From an airship and a series I read. But mostly the airship, and some pestering characters

 3. What genre does your book come under?

 4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
When Clair started the pictures for the book I had to find people I thought looked like my characters. All those actors looked like my characters, but they would likely be too old to play them...but if I had to pick...anyone British.
No wait, that wouldn't work. Steed and Darcy would kill me if I had British actors play them. And Peter would hit the roof. Does anyone know of any dashing French actors who could pull Steed off? And before he is cast Steed needs to look him over and interrogate him.

 5. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Oh, I'm rubbish at these!! Um....
Death follows a step behind Peter and the only way to save him is to solve the mystery of who his parents were.
 (Maybe something like that?)

 6. Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency?
None, it isn't out yet, but when it comes out it will be self-published.

 7. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
 A month I believe.

 8. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
 Maybe Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan books...

 9. Who or what inspired you to write this book?
The Inklings - a group of writers who are part of a writing group I started. You can find it HERE! You can even join if you like. *Smirk*

 10. What else about your book might pique the reader's interest?
Someone dies. (Come now...that's enough to pique anyone's interest to an extent. *Grin*)

The second tag is from Amy who blogs HERE!
For this one I am supposed to thank the person who has awarded me, answer some questions, and pass the award along.
So, THANK YOU, AMY!!!!!! *Tackles and hugs*

 Now to answer.

 1. What famous person would you like to meet?
Um...I am stealing Amy's. I would like to meet Josh Groban. Not only do I love his music and would love to hear him sing in person, but he seems so funny. (The chap dressed up like the fellow from Blue's Clues. How could you not like this guy?)

 2. What's your favourite flower?
Oh, just one? Maybe wild flowers. More then one, but they are so pretty spread out over the meadows.

 3. What is your least favourite food?
Anything that doesn't taste good. 8-P

Now, I tag everyone who would like to have it. (I know, I really need to stop doing that, but what can I say? I'm naughty.)

Now I have to go because John wants the computer.

Quote is from Psych, when someone threw a shoe at Shawn - something Lassie probably wants to do every time he sees him.

  1. Haha! I love John's reasoning!

    Very pretty fingerless mitts!

Your one sentence synopsis is great! And tantalizing... so it accomplished its purpose.

And speaking of Psych, I'm off to email you!

  2. OOh! Pretty gloves! Did you perchance make them your own self?

John's reasoning seems like it would be more legitimate if he decided he were Scotty, since he had the kilt, but no matter. Kirk in a kilt would be... something I'd very much like to see.

A month to draft your book? Well done! Was it, by any chance, a NANO novel?

I did not know you started a writing group. The Inklings is a very good name. In fact, I can't think of one better. :)

Hurray for Josh! One of my new favourite songs of his is Happy In My Heartache, on his new album. *sighs and dies* Oh, I'm so dramatic when it comes to his music. Still, if I ever got the chance to sing a duet with him, I think I'd die of joy right there. Truth.

Now I must needs sit and write. I haz a novel needs revising. *Groans* I loathe revising. It's like trying to spread hard butter on a piece of very soft bread. It's frustrating. Or peeling an orange that refuses to properly peel, so you end up with chunks of orange missing from your fruit because it stuck to its recalcitrant peel, and with juice dripping stickily down your sleeves.

  3. ...0_0 Until I reread what was said about the gloves, I was convinced that they were chain mail.

    Fool am I.

  4. I might steal the first tag for something to blog about later this week... First I have to figure out a Top Tuesday. Hmmmm....

I think that Camp will be fun, if it's anything like NaNoWriMo! Maybe if you do it in July we can be cabin buddies. That would be fun.

Muppet Treasure Island is one of my favorite movies. Hee hee.... "Dead Tom's DEAD!" *cries* "But.... Dead Tom's always been dead."

Haha I loved it when Rory put Hitler in the cupboard. Although I kind of felt sorry for Hitler.... I wonder how long he was in there. Somehow I can't imagine him being put in a cupboard and being too happy about it.
I just watched The Wedding of River Song! OH MY WORD!!! That was SO brilliant how he survived! But they burned the robot? How did all the tiny people get out, I wonder? Still, that was brilliant. I love that little robot ship thingy.
But I realised something timey-wimey.... A time loop actually. Or, what SHOULD be a time loop. Amy and Rory see the Doctor die and then they run into his younger self and they go travelling with them. Then Amy is kidnapped and turned into a Flesh. Then A Good Man Goes to War happens and the Doctor drops off Amy and Rory while he tries to go kind their baby. Then in Let's Kill Hitler, he picks them up again and they travel some more... Then he says goodbye to them in Closing Time with Craig and Stormageddon. And then he goes to die... But what about Amy and Rory? Does he invite the Amy and Rory that he said goodbye to in Closing Time? Or does he invite a younger version of themselves? It doesn't make sense! It has to be a time loop. A mobius.
Either way, Netflix doesn't have season 7 of Doctor Who in yet so I have to wait a few months before I see more revived Doctor Who. I can't decide if that is a good thing or not. I'm afriad I've been piling up the "Confidential" DVD's in my Netlix Queue ("I'm British, I know how to queue") so I do have seasons 4 and five special features to watch. Then I have Hamlet with David Tennant and Captain Picard from Next Generation... So I'm looking forwards to that.
And my word, Frank Sinatra has a beautiful smile.

  5. Oooh! Lovely gloves. I think I'll see what I can do about making myself a pair ... I'll probably do crochet ... hmmm ...

Enjoyed learning more about Abolished Practicality. I know what you mean about actors. I don't really have any who can play any of my characters, either, although there are a few characters I wouldn't mind casting as myself ...

I think I'll take you up on that offer and fill it out if nobody tags me with it in the next few weeks.

  6. Cool gloves (and funky colours there on your nails... XD) Ooh! Lots of tantalizing bits for book 2! Exciting!

  7. I saw the gloves last night. They look like chain mail. Which is cooooool. I want some. Lol.

The more I hear about Peter the more I like him.

Hehehehehehe, *tackles and hugs* that cracked me up.

YES! For JOSH!!!! I don't understand people who don'g like him. My opinion of them falls dramatically when they say that he's annoying. lol. Aaah, we should meet him together. :)

    I love wildflowers. They're so pretty. :)

And that is all. I must go do school now.

  8. Tags are wonderful things when you've nothing else to report. Plus, they're fun! Now, excuse me while I check out the blogs you linked to.

  9. Hi! Stopping in to introduce myself as I'm one of Retro-Zombie's A to Z minions. :) Looking forward to your Challenge posts!

    Laura Eno

  10. Hehehe...Josh Groban is cool. :D
Brave would be an amazing song to sing with him! *Gaaaah!* Or, actually, Remember when it Rained is one of my all-time favorites that he does. :D

Your one sentence synopsis was great! I was impressed with it...
