"If you go to jail I'm not waiting for you." "You won't have to. I'll escape, we both know I will."

Wherein Jack admits that the marketing world is smarting then she is.

Well, if it is called marketing. Whatever that is on Amazon and Barnes and Noble which lets you price your books. I know authors are always having free days for their work, but I can't figure out how. My cold isn't helping matters any. I wonder if part of it has to do with the pictures. I know Lulu won't let me go below a certain price because of them. Probably takes more money to publish a book with pictures.

However, I was able to lower the price. Unfortunately I was only able to lower it on the Kindle edition. If you have a Nook and would rather have it for Nook please email me and we will figure something out.

And all of that said...the ebook of Haphazardly Implausible will only be 2.99 from now until Monday. You can find the link for it HERE! I am not sure if it is 2.99 yet, you might want to check back later if it isn't. (I meant to do this last night but fell, that didn't work so well.)

And now I should be going. Lots to do today. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I shall return on Monday.

The quote is again from Psych, after Shawn saves a polar bear and the police start to look for him. Jules wants him to return it till she sees how cute he is. The line above is between the two of them, and I think everyone who watches the show knows Shawn would find a way to escape prison if he ever got arrested.

  1. Would it scare you to know I remember that line?
I guess you'll have to ask other authors how they do the lower price and free thing. No idea.
    Have a great Easter weekend!

  2. Ah, yes, pricing doo-hickeys are weird. Hopefully you're able to figure out what's going on!

  3. I don't know a thing about B&N, but to make a kindle book free, you must have it enrolled in KDP Select. (Which requires you agreeing that you will only sell the ebook through Amazon for at least three months. That's a big reason that my books are Amazon exclusive) For every three months of Select enrollment, you get five days that you can make your book free. To use those free days, go to the dashboard, and put a check by the book you want to make free. Then click the actions drop-down thingy above the check boxes, and select the last option "Manage Promotions." A calendar should then pop up, and after that it should be obvious.

Hope that helps! I know that there are authors who have figured out how to make a book permanently free ... but I have yet to discover that secret.

And, yay! Lower prices! I went and bought both it and the short story collection, so now I can't wait for them to arrive on my Kindle!

Oh, and to my knowledge, pictures have no effects on Kindle prices, since I have seen plenty of illustrated books for free.
