This site has been taken over by Jack's characters. Our Author threatened to leave us while she goes on a holiday so we have locked her up and are holding her for ransom. This is where you can come in.

The ransom is Short Stories. Write and send in a short story before or at the end of March. If we get enough entries we will free Jack before the 14th, when she is due to leave on her holiday. We (Jack's characters) will read the entries and pick a winner. We even have a prize since it is unlikely you'd like us to send you Jack. The winner will be sent a signed copy of Jack's newest book, Abolished Impracticality. Signed by Jack, not us....well, maybe the Haphazard crew and Jack.

Entries do not have to be a certain length or about a certain subject or genre, we will take anything you like writing.

As stated, the more entries the better chance we will free Jack so help spread the word.

And, while Jack is indisposed, us characters will be carrying out her posts for her. They will all be below this post which will stay up until Jack is returned to the real world.

 Sent from the,
 Broken Blade Boys
 Haphazard Crew
 Loyalty...(whatever they are.)

  1. Ooooh! For shame! Kidnapping Jack isn't a very nice thing to do. You see, boys, my family really wants to meet Jack and she doesn't leave you alone very often, now does she?
But if that's the way you're going to be, I'll have to see what I can do, in regards to a short story...

  2. Poor Jack! Characters, my story is almost 5000 words in length. Is that too long?

  3. Hmmm, I will have to see what I can do for a short story. My mouth says "short story" but my brain says, "Wait, this could become an epic trilogy with a plethora of awesome characters!!!"

Do you have absolutely no preference? Like, Fantasy is fine?

And when I run my own business I will totally hire you. :)

  4. Huh. Well this, to be sure, is an interesting turn of events.

Kidnappers are usually frowned upon in today's civilization, but if you're extra human, us readers might bend to your demands and we might consider paying ransom. ;P

Please inform the unfortunate Lewis that I am sympathetic to her current circumstances. It must be peeving to be held hostage by figments of fantasy.

*sends the incarcerated Lewis a digital cookie*

  5. Is there a word limit on the stories? Do they have to be a certain genre?

  6. Hope Jack can escape! Love the new blog look too!

  7. Hi Jack, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

  8. I don't know if I can write a short story but I'll try for Jack.

  9. I'm rubbish at short stories, so I am a huge let down to Jack, friend wise. I'M SORRY, JACK!!!

  10. So because Jack refuses to write, you are having us write?
I have some old short stories buried somewhere. Would like one of those, or something new?
I could come up with something new. I just fear my mind will run with it and turn it into a series. :P
