"The name's Flynn Ryder."

I was asked to read and review a book, but haven't been reading much of anything unless it is lighter. I wanted to at least tell everyone about the book though. So here it is, Ashley Townsend's book, Chasing the Shadows.

 Summary is taken from Goodreads.
Would you choose to entwine your fate with a hero of the past, even if it meant altering the future?
The murder of an ancient king spurs Sarah Matthews to travel back in time, putting her life in jeopardy as she races against the clock to solve a thousand-year-old mystery and pick up the pieces of her star-crossed romance. Her return to Serimone reveals that the kingdom is in upheaval and that the elusive Cadius has sinister plans for the throne. Unable to right the empire alone, Sarah reunites with Will, the love she left behind and the man beneath the Shadow’s hood. As they work together amidst lavish balls and explore the secret depths of the castle, they discover that the conspiracy runs deeper than they ever imagined. And when a counterfeit Shadow claims the life of someone close to her after a personal threat from Cadius himself, Sarah discovers that the price of questioning the new regime is a life.
Guilt-ridden and alone, she discovers comfort in her newfound friendship with Damien, a charming Spaniard who joins Sarah in her personal crusade for justice. But as she draws closer to his dark past and to the faceless killer in their midst, she realizes that the severed threads of time and the mystery surrounding Serimone Castle are unraveling rapidly, weaving new tapestries of devastation.
In this thrilling and deceptive sequel to "Rising Shadows," Sarah is forced into harm’s way countless times as she races to solve the puzzle before it is too late and Serimone becomes nothing more than a faded memory of the past. . . And before Sarah becomes a permanent fixture in history.

This is the second in a series and both can be found on Goodreads.

Second for today,  I was tagged. It has rules.

1. Thank the blog that nominated you
2. Tell us 11 facts about yourself
3. Answer the questions that were set for you to answer
4. Nominate 11 bloggers and set them questions in return

I was sent this in an email, with no blog link. So if there is a blog I am sorry I did a bad job of trying to hunt it down, but THANK YOU!

I was only sent three questions, and it is late, and I am exhausted tonight, so I am only going to give three random facts.

 1. I know the George of the Jungle song and sing it randomly every other week or so. Same goes for the Lucky Luke theme song.

 2. I forgot to journal today and now I'm too sleepy too. But if I did journal I would have to mention how I fell backwards into a river on purpose.

 3. I'm rereading all the Tintin books.

 The three questions now

 1. Would you rather be a butterfly or a bumble bee?
A bee, so I could sting people

 2. Post a paragraph or a stanza of your latest writing project.
Listen, kid.” James Rodgers stop staring and sighed as he leaned back in his chair. “Can you tell us what's going on around here? Your buddy there, Heir Kraut, he pretty much kidnapped Sam and me and dragged us here. You ain't with Hitler, are you? Because we aren't going down without a fight, and Sam is pretty deadly in a fist fight. I saw him take down a six foot something giant once...”
 Brothers-in-Arms of course

 3. What are your blogging goals for the rest of the year?
 World domination.

Now I really want to go and sleep.

You can probably guess the quote

  2. I was nominated for that tag too!

    Yay! It's Jimmy. I like him. :)

Falling into a river backward. Haha! Yes! :D

Okay, so now I feel little bad. Because this is a tag, but I tagged you for another one. . . It's the Blogging Community Tag. You don't have to do it if you don't want to though. But it's not one of those ones where you tell random facts about yourself (which is kind of refreshing actually, because what tag doesn't ask for random facts?).

  3. George of the Jungle. Now there is a name that I have not heard in a long time... a long time.

  4. Since I am reading this way past my bedtime...after a week of chaperoning teenagers...this post is marvelously funny and speaks directly to my exhausted brain. Yes, yes, yes. I am very happy now.
