"Pooh who?"

Fall is in the air. I can feel it each morning when I wake up, and my toes are cold. I can even smell it. Soon it will be here, killing my flowers and turning the leaves colors. I'm not sad to see it coming. Summer, though long and hard, was blessed and filled with adventure.

Last summer was my first away from home. That meant no camping trips with my brothers, no nighttime hikes up mountains, and I missed them.

This summer was my first living on my own. In many ways it was harder than my first summer being away from my family.

I had more memories come back I had to work on. I slept less. I was jittery and on edge and had all kinds of problems to deal with.

But it was one of the best summers I've had in a while as well.

I explored, spoiled some little sisters, got into some mishaps, made new friends....

This summer, after one thing after another, I have come to see better than ever before just how blessed I am. God has taken care of me in ways I never thought possible. He has given me a second family, I got a book published, did adult things and somehow survived them. Best of all my summer involved ice cream, BBQ's, sunsets and swimming, beaches, travels,

And there, I took a moment to be sentimental. Now I have to go and figure out why my cookies smell like play dough.
